Default Settings
Default Settings (the page is titled Sales Default Settings) are the rates and rules each new sale starts with. On each sale's Settings page you can keep the default or enter a different value for that sale.
- Commission and minimum commission charged to consignors.
- Buyer's premium: a percentage added to each buyer's hammer total.
- Sales tax: charged on the hammer price only, not on the buyer's premium. Bidders marked tax exempt are not charged.
- Credit card fee: a percentage added to invoices.
- Buyback surcharge: a percentage of each consignor's sold total, taken off their settlement unless the consignor is marked "No buyback surcharge".
- Only allow bidders from these states: when states are checked, only bidders from those states can take part; with none checked, all states are allowed.
Individual bidders and consignors can have their own rates, which replace these defaults (see Bidders and Consignors).

Your time zone, contact email and phone, and the emails about bidder sign-ups and sale registrations are on Company Settings.
