The way a bidder appears publicly can vary by auction. If privacy is a concern, inspect a lot's bid history and the applicable privacy policy before bidding. Auction staff may still need to identify bidders to run the sale, issue invoices, and resolve disputes. Never use another person's account to place a bid.
