Many auction lots are sold as is, with limited or no return rights under the sale terms. Read the exact terms for the auction and the lot before bidding.

Inspect the available photographs, description, measurements, and condition information. Attend a preview if offered, or ask the auction company a specific question while there is still time to receive an answer. Budget for possible wear, missing parts, or repairs when a condition has not been confirmed.

If you believe an item received differs materially from its listing, document the issue and contact the auction company promptly. The auction terms and applicable law determine what remedies may be available.
